Yembo Auto-Packing automatically adds packing cartons to each room based on inventory detected by Yembo AI. With the Admin Packing page, Yembo partners can customize packing rules to fit their preferences.
If the default auto-packing formulas result in too many or too few of certain box types, you can adjust them to improve accuracy.
Accessing the Packing Settings
Go to the Admin section – Select "Admin" from the left-hand navigation.
Open the Packing settings – Click "Packing" in the top navigation.
You can change the auto-packing rules in two ways.
Auto-Packing by Room Weight
This method determines how many boxes are added based on the total weight of items in a room.
Locate room type settings – Each room type can have specific box types added based on weight.
Modify carton amounts – Set the number of boxes added per 1,000 pounds of inventory. Yembo rounds to the nearest whole number.
Add or remove carton types – Click directly into the field to adjust quantities.
Expand rules to additional rooms – Select from a predefined list to set custom rules for specific room types like Dining Rooms (custom room names cannot be added).
Ensure room type is selected – Before modifying cartons for a new room, select its type in the newly added row.
Auto-Packing by Item
This method assigns specific cartons when an item is detected in the inventory.
View default carton assignments – For example, every detected crib will automatically be assigned a Crib Mattress Carton (two cribs will result in two cartons).
Customize per-item rules – Adjust whether certain items receive unique packing cartons in specific room types.
Assign multiple carton types per item – For instance, every three Built-In Single-Panel Cabinets might receive one 3 Cu. Carton and one Dishpack.
Apply packing rules to weightless rooms – For example, Bedroom Closets may receive two Wardrobe Cartons by default, regardless of detected item weight (helpful since Yembo doesn’t detect hanging clothes).
