Survey types and when to use each

A breakdown of the options and the scenarios each one fits

Written by Yembo

Yembo offers three ways to survey on the platform. Each one fits a different scenario depending on whether the surveyor is on site, the customer prefers to record on their own, or a live video call works best.

Onsite survey

The Onsite survey app downloads onto a tablet or iPad. It supports walking through the home, taking pictures, and adding inventory in person with the customer. Use it when the surveyor is physically on site.

Self-survey

The self-survey sends the customer a link by text or email, which opens in the browser on their mobile device. The customer records each room of the home whenever it is convenient. Use it when the customer prefers to record on their own schedule without a scheduled visit or call.

Smart Consult

Smart Consult is a scheduled live video call with the customer. The surveyor joins from the browser, and the customer joins from a link on their mobile device. It is web-based for the customer as well. On an iPhone, the customer joins using Safari or Chrome. On an Android device, the customer joins using Google Chrome. Use it when a live, guided walkthrough works best.
