Getting started
When it's time for the appointment, a text and/or email arrives with a link to join the session. After tapping the link, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Enter the lobby
Review the terms and conditions, then tap I Agree to get started.
Step 2: Test the setup and grant permission
Smart Consult tests the network connection and browser, then alerts if either isn't acceptable. On an Android device using Google Chrome, an additional battery life check is also run.
Step 3: Allow the camera and microphone
To complete the Smart Consult, permission must be granted for the camera and microphone. The prompt differs slightly between iOS and Android.
If the permissions prompt doesn't appear, follow the steps for Chrome on iOS & Android or Safari on iOS to resolve the issue.
Step 4: Test the speakers
An audio check confirms the sound can be heard clearly before joining the session. Once the test audio is heard, tap Yes.
Step 5: Ready to move forward
When everything shows green checks, proceed by tapping Let's Go.
Step 6: Join the session
On this screen, confirm the camera is on and the microphone is unmuted. When ready, tap Join Now to connect to the Smart Consult.
Step 7: You're in!
